🤫 A Cheesy Shortcut to Classic Flavor

Craving lasagna but not the layers of work? This Lazy Lasagna skips the boiling, the fuss, and the mess — but keeps all the cheesy, saucy goodness you love. Just layer and bake! Perfect for busy weeknights or low-effort meal prep.

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)

  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce

  • 1½ cups water

  • 9 uncooked oven-ready lasagna noodles

  • 1½ cups ricotta cheese

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess grease.

  3. Stir in the pasta sauce and water. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  4. In a 9×13″ baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce.

  5. Layer 3 uncooked noodles, then dollop with ricotta, spoon over more sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella. Repeat layers (noodles → ricotta → sauce → cheese) until ingredients are used up. Top with Parmesan.

  6. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until bubbly and golden.

  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Add spinach or chopped zucchini for a veggie boost.

  • Swap ricotta for cottage cheese if you prefer.

  • Make ahead and refrigerate before baking!
