📝 Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti (or linguine)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • ¼ cup chopped parsley (optional)

  • Grated Parmesan for serving

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water before draining.

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter.

  3. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

  5. Stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter, lemon juice, and drained pasta. Toss everything to coat. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.

  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Swap shrimp for scallops or chicken if desired.

  • Use zucchini noodles for a low-carb version.

  • Add a handful of baby spinach right before tossing the pasta for extra greens.
